By default websites and database backups are stored on our own OpenStack Swift storage within Canada, with triple replication and 100% file durability.
You can store your website and database backups directly to your Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, AWS S3 and Google Cloud Storage. You have the flexibility to customize storage backend on each backup schedule.
BACKUPS/SNAPSHOTS OF CLOUD SERVERS ARE STORED WITHIN YOUR HOSTING PROVIDER ACCOUNT AND NOT COUNTED TOWARD USAGE.
IMPORTANT: BackupSheep doesn't request full access to your Google Drive or Dropbox account. When you connect your storage account then BackupSheep APIs can only access files/folders created by BackupSheep.
Please note that storage service may not support all features. Please see table below.
|Storage||Available||Uncompressed Backups||Compressed(.ZIP) Backups|
|Google Cloud Storage||Coming Soon||-||-|
|AWS S3 Storage||Yes||No||Yes|
Storage options are set at schedule level. So you can have multiple schedules with different storage locations set for one website or database. For example, If you want to backup your website nightly on Dropbox and Google Drive then you can create two schedules with Dropbox and Google Drive accounts selected under storage option.
You can't change storage location on existing schedule. However, you can always delete existing schedule and add a new one.
