Storage pricing for websites & databases:
Starting 1st-Sep-2018 default backup storage will be charged at $0.05/GB/Month. We measure your storage usage in “TimedStorage-ByteHrs,” which are added up at the end of the month to generate your monthly charges. This comes to about ~$0.000068 per GB per Hour. This pricing doesn't apply to your own connected storage, server and volume backups. Storage pricing is in Canadian Dollars.
No charge for the number of requests:
Due to changes in our backup process, we have eliminated the need to make millions of requests to AWS S3. So there will be no extra charge for the number of requests.
Changes to website backups:
Now that we are processing millions of files every day, processing raw backups are not practical because they consume a lot of resources and It increases our operating cost. So going forward all website backups will be compressed by default. This will speed up backups and save a lot of storage space. Don't worry we have a new solution for restoring individual files and folders.
Browse compressed backups:
Now you can browse any of your compressed website backups. Backups can be stored on your own connected storage or our default storage. Now when you request to browse any of your website backup you will receive an email with a link where you can view all the files in your backup and download them. Depending on the size of backup it may take some time to get your un-compressed backup ready. The link will expire automatically depending on the size of the backup.
Valid credit card required to use default storage:
Starting 1st-Sep-2018 If you want to use our default storage for website or database backups then you must have a valid credit card attached to your account.
Adding credit via PayPal is removed:
To simplify our billing process, adding credit via PayPal is removed for now. We will add PayPal subscription integration later this year.
